Connection help

When a network does not allow access.

Some workplaces, schools, and managed networks limit new domains, messaging tools, WebSockets, or unsanctioned web apps.

How Relay Sessions connects

Relay Sessions uses ordinary HTTPS in modern browsers. Availability depends on the policies of the network you are using.

Relay Sessions is a temporary private-room web app. It is not general network access software.

Safe options

These options respect network policy and keep the guidance simple.

Use a personal network

Try a personal device on a personal network when that is appropriate.

Use mobile data

Mobile data may be available when a managed network blocks access.

Try an allowed network

Try again from a different network where this type of web app is allowed.

Use another contact path

Ask the session owner for an alternate safe contact path.

Contact an administrator

If appropriate, ask the network administrator whether Relay Sessions can be allowed.

Respect local rules

Use Relay Sessions only where this type of web app is allowed.
